II. Design Origin and Applications

This series was initially developed for professional SUP (Side Up Paddleboard) tailwind transoceanic racing, and now it is compatible with four gliding styles: SUP glider, kite glider, bodyboard glider, and surf glider. The 1070 size is geared towards advanced lightweight riders within the Fireball product line, balancing low-speed takeoff and high-speed cruising, primarily designed for gliding in light winds, small waves, and long-distance endurance scenarios.

III. Actual Riding Performance

Cruising Speed: Stable cruising speed is approximately 15-17 mph (24-27 km/h). In optimal tailwind conditions, it can briefly exceed 30 km/h, making it a top choice for breaking personal range records.

Water Pumping Effortless: Excellent water pumping endurance in calm/weak water conditions; minimal effort is required for extended gliding. Long-distance energy consumption is significantly lower than older PNG and ART series models.

Weakness: The wing area is relatively small, making it more difficult to paddle out of the water than larger 1250/1350 models. Beginners are advised to pair it with an 80-90cm long mast to improve the margin for error during water takeoff.

Pairing Scheme: The manufacturer recommends pairing it with a short fuselage (640mm) + a small, narrow tail wing (around 350mm) to create an ultimate racing kit.

Target Audience: Intermediate to advanced hydrofoil users weighing 55-85kg, and racing enthusiasts. Not suitable for complete beginners. Ideal for advanced hydrofoil users seeking long-distance tailwinds, level water pumping, and light winds.

Suitable Environment: Light winds, small offshore swells, and long-distance level water pumping on inland lakes. Not suitable for aggressive wave-cutting maneuvers in large waves (the smaller wing surface is not suitable for high buoyancy support).
