The SPITFIRE 1030 complete hydrofoil package is designed for riders who need additional lift and glide without losing the smooth, surf-oriented turning characteristics of the SPITFIRE range.

Its 1308cm² carbon front wing combines a 1030mm span with an 8.26 aspect ratio. This configuration provides more low-speed support and pumping efficiency than smaller SPITFIRE models while retaining progressive roll control for prone surf and wave foiling.

Small or weak waves require a foil that can begin flying without excessive speed and retain momentum through softer sections.

The SPITFIRE 1030 offers sufficient area to generate accessible lift while its efficient span supports glide and pumping between wave sections. Riders can use the available energy more effectively without moving to an extremely wide front wing that may restrict turning.

The result is a useful balance of lift, glide and maneuverability for small to moderate surf.

The SPITFIRE's elliptical outline and straight median line provide a predictable pressure distribution across the wingspan.

The front wing enters turns progressively, allowing riders to control their carving radius and redirect the foil across the wave face. Its design also supports controlled recovery when a wingtip briefly approaches or breaks through the surface.

Breach recovery is not automatic and still depends on rider technique, speed, mast height and the degree of ventilation.
